In this American version of the hit UK show, Simon Cowell and his fellow judges search for a singer who has the "X factor". Since its debut in 2004, "The X Factor" has remained the U.K.'s #1 program for the last seven years, peaking with an audience of 21 million for its 2010 finale. The format swiftly broke similar records around the world, where local versions have consistently rated #1. The series has received numerous honors worldwide, and more than 100 million records have been sold by artists launched through the series, including over 90 #1 singles and albums and 150 Top Ten records. In a departure from other singing competition series, the first time contestants audition for "The X Factor" judges, Simon Cowell, Antonio "L.A." Reid, Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger, they will do so in front of an audience of thousands - raising the stakes and increasing the pressure to impress not only the judges, but also a potential legion of fans. This will be the ultimate test to prove they have the vocal ability, charisma and stage presence that it takes to win an unprecedented $5 million recording contract with Syco/Sony Music. The ninth season of Criminal Minds will premiere on CBS and CTV, on September 25, 2013. The series was officially renewed for a ninth season on May 9, 2013. It's rumored that Season 9 will contain 22 episodes with the 200th episode being the 12th episode of the season. This new season is said to reveal more on the past of Agent Jennifer "JJ" Jareau. "We're going to use the serendipitous gift of Season 6 to explain with flashbacks what happened when she was working for the Pentagon and why she came back as a much tougher character. Modern Family is an American family comedy series that airs on ABC. It is created by Christopher Lloyd and Steven Levitan. The mockumentary follows the families of Jay Pritchett (Ed O'Neill), his daughter Claire Dunphy (Julie Bowen), and his son Mitchell Pritchett (Jesse Tyler Ferguson), who all live in Los Angeles. Claire is a homemaker mom married to Phil Dunphy (Ty Burrell). They have three children: Haley (Sarah Hyland), Alex (Ariel Winter) and Luke (Nolan Gould). Jay is married to a much younger Colombian woman, Gloria (Sofía Vergara), and is helping her raise her pre-teen son, Manny (Rico Rodriguez) along with their new baby Fulgencio "Joe" Pritchett. Mitchell and his partner Cameron Tucker (Eric Stonestreet) have an adopted Vietnamese child, Lily Tucker-Pritchett.

The first season and the series premiered on September 23, 2009 with the pilot episode after it tested high with focus groups run by Joe McCarthy, resulting in the network ordering 13 episodes and adding it to the 2009/10 fall lineup days ahead of ABC's official schedule announcement. The series was soon given a full season pickup of 11 extra episodes on October 8, 2009. On January 12, 2010, ABC Entertainment President Stephen McPherson announced that Modern Family had been renewed for a second season. The second season began airing in the same timeslot starting September 22, 2010 and ended on May 25, 2011. On January 10, 2011, Modern Family was renewed for a third season. On May 10, 2012, ABC renewed Modern Family for a fourth season. On May 10, 2013, ABC renewed Modern Family for a fifth season.
